Old fashioned? What do you think?

I've just chucked out a lot of busy print patterned dresses. I don't want to start buying them back!

Be honest ;-)

I personally think the patterns make it look extremely frumpy. It's not so much old fashioned (which can be good in a retro way), just more.....

frumpy

Sorry!

I really like all of them but then I don't "do" fashion. I don't see the point of buying a load of clothes then replacing them a year or so later.
I also really hate dull, plain rags that people call "classic" and "understated".
I wish I'd known you were having a cull, OP. I'd have sent you a large box and a courier Smile.

Lol Harriet.

I think iit would be better to see them in the flesh so to speak which of course is something joe browns don't do.

It's been good to see the split opinions though.

it is all personal taste, to me they are a bit too patterned.

Ugh, horrible. I can't believe anyone actually buys that stuff

I think you should wear what you like and feel good in and not care about anyone else! It really doesn't matter what other people think - style is so subjective anyway. Confidence and self assurance is very attractive. Happy shopping!

I have quite a bit from Joe Browns, and on the whole I like them. Some of the quality is a bit shoddy - I've had to send a dress back cos the zip didn't work. And the bright patterns do mean you have to keep everything else minimal.

They can be easy to wear comfortable standbys.

Fashionable they are not.

I quite like them. If the alternative is, say, jeans and a fleece then they're infinitely better than that.

Regardless of style and colour, those dresses are all synthetic fibres - like most Joe Brown stuff. ThT alone puts me off.

I think they are lovely and the cut is great.
I'm 27 but think most currently fashionable clothes are profoundly unflattering. Things like this are great.
