London Fly Boots

Has anyone got any of these boots? I was just wondering what the sizing was like on them, especially around the calf?

I have 2 pairs of fly boots (Yuki and Maos) and I would say they are big made. I'm a 5.5 but tend to need a 6 as the 5's are too tight. One of my pairs of fly boots are a size 6 (Yuki) and are a bit big. The others (Maos) are size 5 and they do fit but are snug so I need to wear thin socks with them. I would say they are quite slim on the leg, I've got quite slim calves and they fit me but I imagine they would be too tight for a lot of people. Actually come to think of it I would say they are actually quite slim fitting in the foot area too so if you have wide feet then you might struggle.

One on my pairs is great in the rain but the other pair not so great. It's the patent type ones that are waterproof. I've also found the dye from the leather ones stain my socks if it rains.

I would say they are they type of shoes you really need to try on before buying because the sizing is strange.

But I am concerned now re waterproofing! Has anyone tried them? Also considering swapping for purple...

I had some fly biker boots, and they came up big, but the wore terribly and thought they were overpriced dross.

If you like that style of boot, I can recommend Natrulista- really good quality leather and they wear beautifully. This was my boot choice whilst pregnant and honking round my breastfed infant!
