What do you think - a dress for visiting the relatives over Christmas?

I have my little bit of sparkle already for evening time but just wondering what you make of this dress for visits to relatives over Christmas?

I usually live in jeans and don't really have any dresses so thought this might be nice with black opaque tights and knee high boots?

It's fine but will depend on the fabric. It looks like polyester, in which case I know that I wouldn't like it. In cotton/silk it could be lovely,

Remus I agree with you completely. It is, however, made of viscose which seems to be everywhere these days, but I am hopeful that it will look nice enough to counterbalance what it lacks in the 100% natural fabric department

I think it looks great for Christmas visiting. Like you're making an effort but not over the top.

First glance it looked like one of those Nordic prints (but then I looked close it, it isn't must clean my glasses )

It's nice. It'll look good with the boots and thick tights then you can wear it later.
