love this look, works well for me, thin and short, although have to be careful don't look like borrowed too many clothes from my mum's wardrobe

MrsBadger · 13/12/2006 19:39

I think it is a good look for the disproportionly short-legged

have never made it work successfully myslef

think trousers need to be wide

foxinsocks · 13/12/2006 19:40

I can't pull it off - but I've got a long body and short legs so I think that may be why (makes my long body look longer and my short legs shorter iyswim).

fatwoman · 13/12/2006 19:42

Mrs B are you sure about the disproportionately short-legged? That's me and I'm nervous about getting things wrong - cos getting them wrong when you're not only 5 ft 1 but short-legged as well could be disastrous.

I really think it doesn't work with short legs. But maybe mine are v disproportionately short .

SantasPersonalClown · 13/12/2006 19:46

I can get away with it as Im 6ft and a size 12. Great for covering up my bum and thighs. Although I have to be careful with the choice of dress as I am quite endowded on the norkage front.

Ash80 · 13/12/2006 19:46

I think it works with all body shapes.x
