Christmas nails...

I always get a Shellac mani just before the Christmas do to see me through the festive period. Last year I went for a light pink as the regrowth annoys me but I might be more Christmassy.

What are you going for?

I've currently got a french polish with buckets of silver glitter on the tips.

I'm getting them redone next Friday and am debating whether to go for french with gold glitter, or red nails with a gold/silver accent nail.

CwtchMeQuick · 13/12/2015 11:38

Yeah I got them yesterday.
They do look grown out in the picture but they don't in real life Confused she hasn't gone as close to the cuticle as she usually does though in all fairness, not overly impressed now I've looked closely.
I think the colour is a new shellac one but I don't know what it's called

itsbetterthanabox · 13/12/2015 12:49

It looks like ruby ritz. I'm wearing it now.
Don't mind my dry sidewalks!

Am going with the black and gold next week.

Love it and think it will go with everything.

Pippin8 · 13/12/2015 18:11

How about these bad boys?

Last year my fingers each had a reindeer, Santa was on one thumb, and Mrs Clause on the other. My sister did it and I loved it! I'm not that good at doing my own though so I'm going for deep red with a light dusting of gold glitter...

hugoagogo · 13/12/2015 18:32

What a cute bunny! Shock

fastdaytears · 14/12/2015 17:08

Done! Ignore my weirdly wrinkly palms!

Diddlydokey · 14/12/2015 18:25

I might go for wintery blue & silver glitter

I love all the pics.
I'm getting mine done next week in the sparkly red. I bet the nailmpeople get fed up of red at this time of year 💅

fastdaytears · 14/12/2015 18:41

Pippin it's normal shellac then some hologram paper witchcraft that she just touches on, then seals with shellac top coat. Loving them!

fastdaytears · 14/12/2015 18:43

Driving I was super duper sparkly red last year and loved it

MsButteryMash · 14/12/2015 19:03

HermioneWeasley · 14/12/2015 19:09

What's the best glittery red/Dorothy's ruby slippers type polish?

itsbetterthanabox · 14/12/2015 19:37

Hermioneweasley
China glaze ruby pumps.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 14/12/2015 19:59

I'm not sure. I might psint Christmas designs on them. Or just go for a wintery colour such as red maroon or gold.
Love those Olaf ones Pip. Might even try them Xmas Grin

HermioneWeasley · 14/12/2015 20:52

itsbetter that looks great thanks, I've ordered a bottle!

Do I need a base and top coat with China glaze if it's the regular polish and not a gel?

SoWhite · 14/12/2015 20:54

I am sporting Dior Rouge 999 over the festive season.

WhoisLucasHood · 14/12/2015 21:08

I've just applied Sally hansen nail polish strips in silver with red snowflakes. They look fab but I'm not sure how long they'll last. Love the 99p store.

itsbetterthanabox · 14/12/2015 21:35

Yes you need base and top coat with all polishes hermione! Grin
It'll last much better and have a better finish. That colour really is gorgeous.

HermioneWeasley · 14/12/2015 21:43

Thanks itsbetter some of the reviews mentioned you didn't need them, which seemed odd.

Pippin8 · 14/12/2015 21:57

I'm having gelish & if don't go for the black, I like this.
