Mens Swimming shorts

Please help me find a pair of 'nice' swimming shorts for my DH.. He is taking DD to swimming lessons in the new year and he needs a new pair..

Must be able to buy online...

Please no swiming trunks!

Help appreciated...

Better add, he is 45 so nothing to young (or wide boy as he calls it)...

he has good legs (years of hockey playing) but not a flat stomach (no longer playing hockey!)...
but not big tum either...

basically want a decent pair to suit a middle aged man!

it's not easy tbh.

Most men's swimming shorts are either too boring, or are quite loud floral board shorts, so may not be for him.

I got some ok ted baker ones last year.

Very boring but classic. So he doesn't want the James Bond look then?

Right well, from my vast experience at buying trunks (I have a teenage competitive swimmer for DS) I would advise that, even for a mature man, skimpy little 'speedos' look frumpy, not to mention revealing.. but v.baggy shorts will hinder his performance in the water, even if he is a beginner.

you are right star of beth - no way would I want him in speedos... I like surfing shorts - but no really the right thing for the local swimming pool!
