Flattering top or dress for a mummy tummy - £50 to spend

My dh's family do a 'not so secret santa' for all the grown ups, budget is £50.

I'd like to ask for a nice top or dress as I don't often have much money to spend on my own clothes.

I weigh more than i'd like though and have a sticky out tummy and a c-section overhang. Any ideas for flattering clothes?

I've seen this top in Monsoon which I think i like but can't seem to find anything else...

Meant to add - I'm 5'6" tall. A size 12/14 on top, more like a 16 on the bottom!

That's really pretty though I probably should have mentioned I usually keep my upper arms covered too. I used to find picking clothes so easy - it's a bit more difficult now i'm a hot mess different shape....

I usually like Phase Eight dresses; the type with a knot detail or wrap-style - flattering & flares out, covers up bingo wings!

I have a sticky out csection tummy and the style of the Monsoon top always makes me look pregnant. The oasis one is lovely.

Your links are just taking me to a main phase eight page so I cant see what they're like! I found a couple of phase eight dresses that were really flattering earlier in the year and I had a c section a year ago, am very conscious of the overhang but it is slowly getting smaller. Good luck!

Oh bugger - don't know what i've done wrong...they're working when i click on them.

The dresses are called Abrielle Twist Front Dress, Kacie Kimono Twist Dress and Fabiola Spot Dress.

Thanks mrssmith79. No 2 & 3 are the sort of thing I usually wear but I really like no 1 - just trying to decide if it would suit me/I would actually wear it.

Think it's just my phone being a pain! I like the fabiola spot one and the kimono one the best, but the first one might look much better in person, they often do with phase eight stuff. I would go with your gut, pick your fave and ask for that one, with a second choice in case they can't get it for you!

Those are great bargains. I was thinking you'd be lucky to find a dress under £50 in Phase Eight.
I like all of them too. I think the kimono one would be very flattering if you were feeling confident enough to carry off the pattern. It also looks like the sort of thing you could really dress up or wear more casually.

How about Banana Republic? Wrap dresses are flattering and sexy. If you sign up for their newsletter they offer discounts all the time. I have a black wrap dress which is a great fit and doesn't gape at the top. Love BR generally, and they have some good sales.
