Help! Gave birth 8 weeks ago and feel frumpy and matronly.

I was down to my pre-pregnancy weight 2 weeks ago, so this weekend I unpacked my "normal" clothes. It was really depressing and I admit that I cried. The cute little tops I can't cram my enormous BFing boobs into, and my jeans are tight in the waist area and there's a bulge that spills out over the waist band.
So, MN experts, what on Earth can I wear to look and feel good?
MIL has given me some money to buy an outfit for Christmas. I'd be looking to buy something relaxed and versatile that I could wear to go out with DH after and feel attractive and a little bit sexy, but also wear in the day with friends (tall order!).
I'm short and normally a size 12, have always been an hourglass with boobs and hips, but a flat tummy and small waist. Now I have a tummy problem too and just feel big all over with comedy Dolly Parton boobs (H cup).
Any ideas?

What about a wrap dress? You could wear it with heels for a dressy look or with boots for a more casual look. Boden have some (or DVF if you want to splash out) and there is another thread on here about the best ones.

Had the same problem with my first baby - lost all weight in about 6 weeks but was a bit restricted in what I could wear (due to muffin top) for about 4 months. Then it suddenly disappeared.

Have a lovely Christmas

Well done on losing the wight so quickly, get some "hold you in pants" until your bod is back to it's best.....
I've got M&S ones, cycling short ones are great as you get no bulges under clothes.

I find that the normal magic knickers hold in the post baby tum but make the old muffin top appear over the waist. I found some brilliant control knickers on Figleaves.com that come right up over the waist - a much smoother line. Would thoroughly recommend them.
BTW, you should feel really proud that you are back to your pre-preg weight and ease up on yourself. Your body has been through a lot in the last year and it will take a while to recover.
