Vintage dress, now what shoes?

I've just got an amazing 1940s dress full length, black rayon with huge pink flowers, although I can't think what shoes to wear. Long but swishy. Actually it sounds awful but I assure you it is lovely, I'm thinking of teaming it with a black velvet jacket in winter.

Love 40s dresses, sounds great.

I'd wear it with black peep toe shoes.

I have a 50s christmas outfit and was wondering what shoes also .
Just been to Tescos and whilst not looking for shoes spotted these. They are very retro , and although ( snob that I am, I know ) I dont usually buy supermarket shoes I have snapped them up! , they look great with my 50s skirt and top.

Again, they're synthetic but no doubt there are similar styles in suede/leather somewhere.

Look for Miss L Fire shoes - I'm sure you'll find a pair that look perfect.

Going against the grain, i'd go with suede ankle boots. I love and own many vintage clothes but don't do the head to toe look.

I've recently fallen in love with this style of vintage heel!
