ice skating and then dinner

I am doing the above with the parents from DS' class. I am thinking of wearing smart jeans but can anyone recommend a top plus jacket to go with them??

something warm, its always bloody cold. maybe a nice jumper or caridgan that you could take off when u go for the meal.

Every time I see you post I do a double take. Keep thinking I don't remember posting that.

Maybe something like this with something more dressy underneath (for the dinner afterwards), and a big woolly scarf/pashmina?
