New Rock boots and generally confused about shoe sizing. Has it changed? Or is it me?

I want to order some New Rock boots but the site says size 40 is a 7. I have always been a 7 or a 41? I believed 39 was a 6 and 40 was a 6 1/2. But it seems that I have either been wrong about my shoe size my whole adult life or things have changed.
I have looked at some other brands and it seems to be the same. It's me isn't it?! Or a glitch in the matrix Confused

So do I order a 40 or a 41?

If anyone has experience of New Rock I would appreciate your advice on whether they come up big or small.

41 is a 7 1/2 but for companies that don't do half sizes it appears to be entirely random whether they decide to translate that as a 7 or an 8. Not much help, sorry, my only New Rocks are donkeys years old so whatever the sizing was has worn away.

I'd go with a 41 to be honest. I find New Rocks to be ok if you stick to your European size.

I'm a 42 and they list a 41 as an 8Angry I can't even get my feet in them! All of mine tend to fine if I keep to European sizing though. Although my reactors are 43s!
