Mascara

So after a misguided trial with Younique - I got sucked into buying some mascara having seen the host show how it transformed her lashes. It did the same to mine, but at the end of the day I had little bits under my eyes and they still feel gritty like bits of fibre went in them.

I usually use Estée Lauder double wear but but disappointed with latest one as it's dried out quite quickly.

I don't wear much make up (which begs the question why did I go to a Younique party?!) but like to wear mascara as I am fair skinned and it makes me look awake.

Any tips? I walk a lot so it needs to be water-resistant in case of rain.

Le Volume de Chanel is the bomb, I love it! And for extra oomph I use Dior lash primer which is fab, I bought it with Diorshow and gave the mascara to one of my friends as I just hated it, but the primer is brilliant.

Am I alone in finding Clinique High Impact really irritating to eyes? It made my eyes sting and flaked. It was the standard High Impact.

I'm with MsVestibule - Clinique is my favourite brand by miles. Lash power in particular: Beautiful lengthening effect, stays on all day, even in rain and to remove just apply warm water and it flakes off like a dream. I wouldn't touch another brand if you held a gun to my head (extreme makeup! lol)

Benefit they're real all the way. Yeah it's tough to removed but a oil based cleanser does the job. I've found the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter a dream for getting every last scrap off!

Le Volume de Chanel is the best mascara I have ever used. Currently wearing the Prune colour. Incredibly flattering but due to its burgundy hue it is momentarily terrifying to remove.

Benefit they're real all the way! I've tried loads and this is the best one IMO.Grin

loads of people talk about benefit - theyre real, but i had a free sample of that in a magazine a couple of years of ago and It e gave me panda eyes pretty bad after a couple of hours wear. I dont think its any good if youve got oily skin. There are much better mascaras if youre going to spend that much money.

my favourite is 2000 calorie mascara
