Elegant navy blue shoes that I can walk in?

I've just bought a gorgeous dark pink dress to wear at my son's wedding.

I was thinking navy blue hat and shoes. Tried on a navy hat in the shop and it really worked (but a bit small so I'll keep looking)

But I struggle to remain upright in heels higher than about 1 or 2 inches. And I like shoes with straps but they can look rather staid.

Any shoe queens out there who can point me in the right direction?

Not a shoe queen by any stretch, but saw a woman wearing these at the petrol station last week, and thought they looked so fabulous I had to complement her on them.

I know they are higher than you like, plus not entirely navy, but she did say they were really comfy (and the strap will help!)

Laska5772 · 02/11/2015 19:57

House of Fraser have the Carvela shoes I linked above in sizes 4 and 5

classic slingbacks?

cheap but nice!!

I've got those clarks shoes & thy are really comfy op

PetiteBateau · 02/11/2015 20:22

They

More of a 6.5 to 7- but those suede shoes are gorgeous.

The Paul Green Erin's are lovely, but I have stupidly high arches and high instep so doubt I could do them up.

Sling backs very smart. I might try some of those on

I'd never manage the Dotty P shoes- not enough support at the sides.

Suede Carvelas my favourite so far.

I have Gabor ones a bit like these. They are very comfortable.

I know they don't look it but these Next dark navy shoes are actually rather comfy to wear. I have a high instep too. I find Next shoes come up small on me (I have wide feet too) so I went for a 6.5 instead of my usual 6 and they are perfect.

Jones (and outlet) have comfy low heels in navy

I also ordered a lovely navy pair of low heels from lotus... suede patent heels - on trend pointy toe and £37 from kaleidoscope so v reasonable (weird for me to order from catalogue but had a cheap price on them when searched online)
