I think this thread has established that not too many people would be impressed by the other one (I don't think I've ever been impressed by a clutch bag - I think of them more as a necessary evil IMO)

what is the point in a bag that you can't put anything in and you can't carry easily .. that's not a bag its an impediment

For that sort of money, why not buy a car instead? You can get more in it and it has the added bonus of getting you from A to B

Sorry but I can't imagine ever being wealthy enough/ reckless enough /bothered enough by "labels" to ever spend that on a bag, especially one that you can't get anything in!

I do think putting something in a bag spoils it's shape though..I just get dp to put his hand in his pocket

well obviously if I was going on holiday I'd put stuff in a carry on bag, but an evening bag is just for something to hold and mathc your outfit and look stunning with..I think, or am i barking up the wrong tree?

of course don't everyone tell me about how bad it is going round with hands in pockets..I was talking metaphorically..and it's just about as bad spoiling the shape of a good suit isn't it never mind the risk of falling over and not being able to save yourself or even worse having change in your pocket and jingling it!

it's a comfort thing really, something to do with your hands and if you don't have a bag then you can't escape from people by pretending to go and do make up can you?
