do winter coats have to be black or grey?

Oh for goodness sake - go red. The winters are dull enough without everyone in black / navy / grey. I have a bright red duffle coat - lovely and warm and cheerful too. and it's ultra services able - its got a hood and pockets. And I would not count myself as a beefeater. Life is too short to be sensible about the colour of your winter coat

I have lots of coats!
No black though I do have navy and grey ones
I don't suit red, but have a black cream and red check one which I love
Brightest is orange
Today I was wearing a baby blue number with navy leggings
I find camel goes with lots too
I also have a few fur coats (fake) which go with lots - not cold enough yet
Quite fancy a pink coat next but haven't found the right shade yet

I did look in TKMaxx.... It was pretty awful (but then I'm in Germany, and in my local town they seem a little.... Errrr anti fashion...)

I never buy black or grey winter coats, too boring. I've got a raspberry coloured wool coat this year with slightly cropped sleeves & I wear it with long gloves. Last year's coat was purple & in the past I've had a cherry red coat & an emerald green coat.
