Best BB cream or light foundation for very pale skin - urgent!

Going into town in a bit, need the following:

  1. dark circles/puffy eye cream (to hide) for pale skin
  2. (importantly) as the title says. Have some spots and acne/spot scars so want it to cover those but don't want to be caked. (for example, No.7 no1 lightness is just a smudge too dark). Would like it to be slightly moisturising as skin is quite dry.

It ideally needs to be available in Boots or Debenhams as that's where I am going and can't walk far.

Or. should I buy a concealer stick for the spots? If so, what should I get?

I have dry pale skin and have just started wearing the max factor miracle match one, it's very light but good coverage and there are a couple of paler shades. It's on 3 for 2 at boots at the moment, I got the loose powder to go with it and my skin looks better than it has in ages. Not sure about concealer, I am using a Rimmel one but it's quite thick, so good for spots but not as good for under eyes.

I have exactly the same skin complaints and I use Botanics BB Cream. It's amazing Smile

thank you ladies. I have added those to my list, liking 3for 2!

Illamasqua or Makeup Forever are good for the very pale and both are available at Debenham's.

Two makes of foundation that I've used are Lily Lolo in porcelain which is actually too pale for me and Barbara Daly's range for Tesco. I use the oil free stuff. Her range does some really pale foundations. 'Porcelain' is the palest.

Lily Lolo does a pale BB cream too though I haven't tried it.

Not immediately accessible but Lily Lolo in Porcelain for overall skintone balancing and Nars Vanilla used as concealer. Missha M Signature #13is the palest BB cream I've ever tried. I'm NW5-10.

Don't know if you have it in UK, but I have similar complexion and wear Tarte BB cream in fair. Very good, goes on great, lasts well.

I like the Boots Botanics one. It smells horrible but works v well on my pale skin.

PavlovtheCat · 27/10/2015 16:41

thanks everyone. I ended up grabbing l'oreal as I have used it before, and it was closest to hand with two tired, bored children and a tired, bored bother. It's ok. it's not the best in the world, but it covers my horrible spots - bought liquid concealer in vanille, their BB cream in light ivory, which is a touch too dark, but not horrifically, and the light reflecting eye concealer, which, I have to say, is too bright, although the paleness is fine (I never remember when under pressure to buy make-up that the illuminating concealer just makes my bags looks worse!).

I have £18.50 on my boots card, and they have the 3 for 2, and will go back and try the Max Factor Miracle Match as I did look at it quickly and thought it looked good and felt nice on my skin (but didn't have time to match with eyes, concealer etc).

Will also go and look at some of the other ones mentioned too. Thank you all
