Secret Santa help, what would you want? - £10 budget (sorry if wrong forum)

Hi

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this but I'm stuck for ideas of what to buy a girl from my local baby circle of friends for a secret santa pressie.

I have only ever done one secret santa in my life and that was for a guy who was more than pleased with a bottle of vodka!

Typically I picked the girl I have least in common with and speak to the least so I'm really looking for general safe ideas of what to get.

I was thinking of going to Lush and seeing what £10 could buy - is this a naff idea?

Thanks for your help

Lucy

No before I'd finished reading you're post I was going to suggest lush

Can't do wrong with lush if you don't know the person very well!!

Lush plays havoc with my nose and i sneeze just walking past the shop,so i hope she's not as allergic as me,lol.
What about a nice boxset of Hair shampoo/conditioner from Boots?

Thanks for your replies

PFSM - didn't think about allergies

I was trying to think what I'd like to receive but £10 is such an awkward figure IMO, if it was a bit more I could get her a manicure voucher or a music voucher etc but £10 doesn't buy anything these days (gees I sound like my Mum!)

Any more ideas??

Lucy

What about a Boots voucher? Or an M & S voucher?

Or then again you could take a trip to your local Ann Summers shop and get a selection of edible underwear, or a sparkly dildo.

Earrings
Nice gloves or scarf
Pretty piece of jewellery from Accassorize
Lipstick

I#d be good with all of these.

I'm with lostinfrance - trashy mag, chocs and wine - does it get more treaty than that!

DimpledThighs · 05/12/2006 23:29

don't worry too much - it's secret santa - she will never know it's you!

AllBuggiedOut · 05/12/2006 23:45

Love LostinFrance's suggestion - otherwise would go for something like scarf/jewellry from Accessorise (easy for her to change if she doesn't like it). I've always ended up with photo frames or smelly candles which I think are a bit of a cop-out. And personally don't like/use smellies so would hate to get them.

Hope you get something lovely in return

Excellent suggestions thanks!

You've got me thinking along the right lines. LIT - yes that sounds perfect to me.

I would get her something from Accessorize as I love all their stuff myself but I really wouldn't even know what kinda stuff she likes because she's the one girl that doesn't join in our group as much as everyone else and I don't see her that often. Actually I bet she doesn't even go to our night out when we're giving the pressies

Our family were thinking of doing a secret santa rather than buying everyone gifts. We've left it too late for this year but perhaps we'll start it next year. Spending limit will be £75 per adult (we've got approx 10 adults we buy for so that'll cut the cost a lot!) and £30 for the children. Has anyone done anything like this - how did you find it? I suppose we could try it one year and if it didn't go very well we could revert back to normal the next year!
