Can someone help me find a 34h bra that fits? Need brand/style advice

Hi there
I have followed the bra intervention guide and put myself at a 34h.

I am currently wearing a 34gg padded thirty bra from m&s and I am bulging out of the front.

I have tried 34h curvy Kate and there is a bit of gaping wear the bra meets the strap at the front and I think that is down to the style rather than shape. My boobs are bigger under the nipple if that makes sense.

I think I need a balcony tell bra to suit my shape but could really do with some brand / style advice.

I went to an independent shop and the assistant laughed at me when I said I thought I was 34h. I am short and dress well enough to hide my gigantic bosom so it isn't obvious. She initially tried to put me in a 36d and reluctantly I walked out with a charnos 36f which rides up my back. So I would rather sort this out myself than go for another fitting.

Sorry for the essay. Any advice gratefully received.

Fantasie or freya are great for balcony styles - I agree that'd be a good style if you.

I know you don't want to go for another fitting, but if you have a Bravissimo near you I would really recommend it.
They won't laugh and will take time with the fitting. I've never had s bad fitting there in all the years I've been going. It really is worth it.

I can only wear these, I am currently a gg, they provide lots of support as well as being really comfortable!

Bravissimo is quite a trek for me unfortunately.

Actually having a rummage at the moment and just found a Fantasie 34h strapless bra which fits perfectly so you may be right about the brand. I haven't had Freya before.

I lost a bit of weight last year and have put most of it back on so the changing weight probably hasn't helped my comfort levels.

Try Freya or Fantasie - John Lewis can order them in or order online from Bravissimo. My all time favourite is Freya Jolie. They just seem to be built right for low back size and higher cups. Bravissimo tend to have lots of sizes in you can try on if you are near one of their shops. Makes such a difference finding the perfect bra!!

Thank you knaffedoff. I will look at that style.

Agree with the fantasie and Freya recommendations if you can't get to Bravissimo. I'm a 32F/G and they are both good on me.

I'm currently a 34G (pregnant!) and living in Freya bras. They're the only ones I can find that fit properly. I got up to a 34HH in my last pregnancy and wore Freya bras for everyday, Royce ones for sleeping in and the Panache sports bra.

marriednotdead · 25/10/2015 10:42

Are you sure about the strapless you've got being a UK 34H? Fantasie usually stop theirs at G.
It sounds as if your breasts are quite bottom heavy so you may need either a side sling style like Fantasie Elodie or a firmer bra such as some of the Panache balconettes.

EustaciaVye · 25/10/2015 11:08

Thanks everyone. Some great ideas there. The Elodie looks pretty so might start with that.

Strapless Def 34H. Maybe it's Panache and not Fantasie. I'll double check later.

Another vote for Fantasie bras here. As a 38FF I find their balcony style bras fit really well. Their sizes are consistent too.

I'm full on the bottom and am a huge fan of the panache jasmine. It has stretch lace on the top to reduce gaping. If you order a section online make sure you get a few in sister sizing, as even within a brand different styles vary.

I've never met a Freya that my 30Fs didn't like.

Figleaves usually have a good selection.

Thanks everyone. :) Very helpful.
