hi, just lost some weight (now size 12ish) would love to get a sexy dress for christmas parties etc. not cocktail or over the top. something simple & stylish. arms are ok but would prefer cap sleeve or BIG strap. still not much of a waist but slim about the bum & hips (well compared to 3 months ago. norks are presentable. i will wear any colour that isn't neon or yellow.

Thanks

Cod linked to these last week. I love the teal blue one

pesme · 03/12/2006 22:27

thanks, blue one is nice but i don't think i am quite up to sleeveless. i do like the green one at the bottom but abit beyond my budget.

have a look on the warehouse website - some nice ones there, also Principles and Monsoon (pricy though)
Debenhams is worth a look too.

Hi Pesme

Not sure if it's your thing or not but here's the dress I wore to DH's christmas party. I felt amazing in it and got lots of lovely compliments. I think it's a flattering cut and I bought some spanx knickers to hold everything in too! I can't wait to wear it again.

Bit of a hijack but so glad you went with the teal one in the end Lucy and got the compliments!

JackieNoHoHo · 04/12/2006 09:56

Is black too boring?

JackieNoHoHo · 04/12/2006 10:01

(sorry - that's not available in the right size, I don't think). How about this one ? Cap sleeves. Not sure if it counts as simple?

Jackie - thanks for your help with my dress/accessories

Pesme - I don't normally go into Warehouse but they have a fantastic selection of dresses at the moment.
