Alternative to jeans for the fat of arse and thunderous of thighs?

Have given up on jeans as they just never never fit, plus there's the extra bulkage of pockets just where you don't need it.

I hate the creased yet baggy look of my be-jeaned lap when I sit down (and I can't even see the rear view).

Ideally I'd like something stretchy with a yoga trouser shape (so basically bootleg leggings) but not leggings material. I bet the feckers don't exist.

Oh and not polyester work trousers (please). Smile

Can I ask what size you are?
I wear jeans a lot, skinnies and bootcut. I have a big bottom and thighs.
The trick I have found is to slim down the bits I don't like. For instance if you wear a long undone cardigan then you hide bum and skim the width of the thighs and people have no idea of your thighs or bum for that matter. You tend to look longer and leaner. Bit like this.

I were outdoors trousers - Haglofs do some cheap on Amazon. Having thunderous thighs I have discovered that synthetics last waay longer - my thighs rub through cotton in a couple of weeks.

Usually 16-18 - with jeans the waistband is usually too big if the hips fit, hence the desire for stretchy.

Thanks for cardigan tip, I do like a long cardigan (have to remember not to let it flap out from under coats though).

Your welcome. I have about 10 long cardigans and I wear them as coats (thicker woollie ones) too. People have no idea that I have thighs or a bum that would give Kim K a run for her money. I just appear taller with long legs.

HouseOfBamboo · 10/10/2015 17:44

lol, i'm liking the sound of taller and longer legged.

It'sAll - that's a good idea, I haven't investigated that avenue yet, will have a look, ta.

If you do want bootcut leggings then it is yoga pants you are after. Take a look at Sweaty Betty.

Same problem.. my plan is this - Gap have lots of trousers with stretch... various styles like they have lots of jeans shapes. Try them to work out a style (I think a tapered leg cropped to ankle would suit) then if a success you can know what shape to look for.

pdxs · 11/10/2015 07:19

And try linea or episode for the shape you mentioned. ... I have some but from few years ago. A very soft fabric will look sloppy compared to jeans though

I am a size 16/18 and I wear White Stuff denim jeggings with longish tops and long cardigans. I then look like like I am wearing skinnies as no one can see the stretchy top bit. Very comfortable and no extra bulk or bagginess round the middle.
