I wear earrings every day so I do wear them together. If I am wearing a big necklace then I would wear small studs.

HermioneWeasley · 09/10/2015 16:02

Yes, but not both big - so statement necklace with small studs, hoops with a small chain.

ICanSeeForMiles · 09/10/2015 16:03

Yes, but as above. And if I have glasses on, I avoid one. (Usually earrings)

thriftychicken · 09/10/2015 16:14

ok thanks

Yes but only with a sari/ball gown. If I'm not doing super dressy I go for earrings or necklace.

DickDewy · 09/10/2015 18:42

I always wear earrings, but if I have a necklace on, I wear small diamond studs only.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 09/10/2015 18:52

I wear both, all the time Smile

BestIsWest · 09/10/2015 18:54

Very rarely wear earrings. I find them too much with glasses I sometimes wear them if I have contact in but would only wear a simple necklace then. I almost always wear a necklace.

LittleRedSparke · 09/10/2015 18:56

yes i would - but i wouldnt pay that much for a gold plated pendant

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 09/10/2015 18:56

Yep, both, all the time. Everyday pieces tend to be small, if I swap one to a statement piece, I make sure the other is subtle.

MatildaTheCat · 09/10/2015 20:11

I wear both all the time but always diamond stud earrings with whatever necklace suits my outfit. People still keep buying me earrings for birthdays etc when I've been wearing the diamonds for about 15years. Somehow they never look as nice so don't get worn.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 09/10/2015 20:15

Yes to what Anchor said. And I wear specs all the time

I have a lovely selection of earrings, have weeded out any that give the Su Pollard effect with said specs.

Judydreamsofhorses · 09/10/2015 20:29

I wear Alex Monroe daisy studs every single day, usually a necklace (unmatched) too. The earrings are silver with golden centres, so they go with everything, but a lot of my necklaces are acrylic Tatty Devine and so on. My hair hides my ears anyway.

WhatamessIgotinto · 09/10/2015 20:55

I have those daisy earrings Judy I love them. I normally wear a silver chain but occasionally gold.

PedantPending · 09/10/2015 21:20

My earrings quite frequently match my necklace, as in pearls and pearls or sapphires and diamonds and sapphires and diamonds.

RickOShay · 09/10/2015 23:48

I struggle to wear more than one bit of jewellery at a time, so I personally, would never wear earrings and a necklace, but I do think it can look good. I might sometimes wear earrings and a bracelet, and I have one ring that I wear.
Only wearing pearl studs today. Oh I live life on the edge I do.

CremeEggThief · 09/10/2015 23:51

I wear a silver chain and small ear-rings always, even in the shower and in bed. I felt naked when I was a bridesmaid recently and had to take my chain off.

EmmaWoodlouse · 11/10/2015 08:25

I nearly always wear some kind of earrings, as my mum gave me the impression it was a big faux pas not to if you had pierced ears. I haven't got a very long neck, so my personal rule is that I only wear long earrings with a long necklace, or tiny studs with a shorter one.

pdxs · 11/10/2015 08:35

I think it doesn't look great to have no earrings in with pierced ears. I'd a necklace. ..studs (unless it's a party look)

This necklace. .. Small earrings (hoops, dangling) also okay as it's not huge

The 'rule' (I used to work in the jewellery trade) is to wear max 2 of the 3 staples... so necklace, earrings, ring. Small studs, wedding ring does not count... engagement ring... depends on size.

Wearing 1 statement piece only okay (eg small studs, blinding ring/necklace ), all 3 is a bit Xmas tree (for all but most gala occasions and even then 2 of 3 is more classy)

But... rules are meant to be broken - yesterday I had in diamond studs, statement necklace in black/gold, a bold ish gold ring, gold watch and a subtle gold and diamond bracelet. .. but with all black simple outfit. .. jeans and t. Fewer accessories if outfit has more going on

pdxs · 11/10/2015 08:36

With your necklace, I recommend studs: gold, diamond or a dark sapphire or other black stone as a daytime look

smellylittleorange · 11/10/2015 10:57

I have the shorter rose gold version of that necklace...I'm mixed race with long brown hair so I find it does not look too bling on me it kind of blend iyswim. I have worn the necklace with larger hoops, small rose gold clover studs or crystal drops in a rose gold setting. All looked fine but as I say my skin tone is a bit darker. I would not add for example bracelets or bangles or dress rings if wearing earrings and necklace together.

smellylittleorange · 11/10/2015 11:10

I also think it does depend on your sense of style. You can get away with wearing a bit more jewellery if you emulated a boho or vintage style as opposed to say if you were a quite minimalist dresser who shopped at Cos or somewhere I'm chubby hourglass so I have to do vintagey tea dresses

Trills · 11/10/2015 11:22

I don't like the look of empty earring holes, have to wear something.

thriftychicken · 11/10/2015 11:40

thankyou , i think i will look for some small studs this afternoon when i go shopping .
Its for an evening family party . Im wearing all black with gold shoes . I was going to go for a statement necklace (never have before ) but this necklace was a gift and id like the giver to see that i like and wear it ! i have a gold bangle and a black and gold watch .
I generally wear smallish , minimalist stuff as i am very small myself but like to try out different things here and there !
