My SIL has asked me to help choose an outfit that she wants to have made for her son's wedding next year. She is in her 50s, about 5' 4", and very square shaped (like Spongebob) with shortish legs (she's the first to admit this, I'm not being horrible!).
I have been looking at outfits that Judi Dench has worn to Oscar ceremonies, etc, as she is shortish and not obviously curvy, but are there any other role models I could look to? I'd be so grateful if anyone has any ideas!

Wow! Cod, you are a marvel.
It's funny you mentioned the D of C - my first thought when SIL asked me was that fabulous wedding outfit she wore for her blessing.
And I love that textured coat/dress Judi had. I hope I can persuade SIL into something other than the rather shapeless trousers and tunic she almost always ends up in. I wonder if she would have her colours done? It would help
Thanks, Your Fishiness.
