Who?!?

OrangeSquashTallGlass · 30/09/2015 07:39

Wrong side of the bed Brenda?

MalmseyWhine · 30/09/2015 08:08

I agree. Also, I don't care that you can't wait to wear it on holiday.

WhyDoesGastonBark · 30/09/2015 08:14

What would you like them to say?

wonkywheel · 30/09/2015 08:17

All of those things are fine by me but, for all that is good and holy, PLEASE don't say it 'looks good but I haven't tried/used it yet' - wait till you've tried it then!!!!

Trills · 30/09/2015 08:18

Looked great dressed up or down
= wear this with other clothes

The equivalent of online dating
I like going out and staying in
= I like to exist in the world

OrangeSquashTallGlass · 30/09/2015 08:19

Yy wonky, why oh why do they do that?!

wonkywheel · 30/09/2015 08:49

I know! You get no actual review info so all it really is is a stealth 'Look, I bought this!' - would prefer it if they actually just wrote that!

louloubelle2 · 30/09/2015 09:00

I don't mind 'dressed up or down', I'd think they considered it a versatile, and therefore value for money item, but definitely to commenting on delivery, service, packaging..I thought reviews were supposed to be moderated to filter this kind of stuff out?

Also, when someone says its too small or big, but doesn't say what size they are and what size they bought. Or that the colour didn't suit them but not stating what colour they are referring to.

I like to see if its small/true/big to size. If the material e.g. crumples or is see through, if the colour is true to the image shots. If there are details that you might not pick up from the image shot. Quality is a bit subjective but value for money opinion is useful.

The 'it looks great but I haven't worn it / washed it yet' is the worst.

People read reviews to find out about quality and how well it washes, if the colour is the same as images, if the sizing is big or small, if it has any issues not obvious from the pics / description, and if it feels soft and comfortable. If you're not telling us any of that info, just don't bother.

BrendaandEddie · 30/09/2015 09:17

Agree a tip about your size and the fit is good. For eg "I'm tall "

BrendaandEddie · 30/09/2015 09:18

Dressed up or down is obvious and or subjective though
I laugh at the ones in CAPS from glam Gina in Derby

'I bought this for my wife/son/dog for their birthday.'

I don't want to know that.

MalmseyWhine · 30/09/2015 10:26

I laugh when people complain about 'cheap and nasty fabrics' on a £10 dress from Dorothy Perkins. Not sure what else they were expecting really.

G1veMeStrength · 30/09/2015 10:28

I get ragey at

Bought this for my son's birthday next week, hoping it will fit/work as haven't unwrapped it yet, Five Stars.

BrendaandEddie · 30/09/2015 11:01

So

OP posts:
stripytees · 30/09/2015 11:04

I don't mind that but hate the comments about size or colour without enough detail. "Colour was darker than expected and it's very short." Right, want to tell us if you bought the green or red and how tall you are?

Coastingit · 30/09/2015 12:23

If anyone has a Boden cashmere crew and can review it usefully, please do so below. Tia Grin

Just ordered one off their eBay outlet for a grand £39 and the reviews on the boden website were as helpful as a picture of a goat.

Coastingit · 30/09/2015 12:24

It's the one thing bloggers are useful for actually - being able to see an item on a real person in realistic light. I don't care how they 'style it' just how it looks on.

BrendaandEddie · 30/09/2015 18:05

but they style it next to a phone box with pigeon toes

Well apparently I should wear it with a statement necklace, tucked in to a full satin or faux leather skirt and leopard heels. Probably I'll just wear skinnies and uggs with it

BrendaandEddie · 01/10/2015 19:00

' add killer heels'

or the reviewer who fancies themselves as a fashion writer
