What's your favourite ever handbag that you've EVER had?

Mine is the Fossil Grant one I had a few years ago. It was so pretty and soft and useful. Just the right size. The best thing was it was corduroy, and leather, and had little flowers on it.

I actually stalked another mum because she had one and I couldn't see the brand name on it and it was so lovely. Eventually managed to google it and bought one in a different colour.

Then it was a bit embarrassing because she wore hers every day and I felt like I had done something awful by buying the same one. I tried to leave it in the car a lot!

We weren't close at the time but since then we kind of got on really well and I stopped using my bag eventually as it fell apart, as did she, and I never admitted I'd copied her though I think she probably guessed.

Anyway. That's my all time favourite and I just managed to find another on ebay in a fit of nostalgia for about £15 (My old one was dark red but still!)

What's your best ever bag that you remember with fondness and have never managed to better?

A ri2k aspen tall tote in gorgeous cream leather .. My daughter 'borrowed ' it .. When I asked for it back she had scuffed all the bottom so I let her keep it ! Tried and failed to replace it :( ... Never lending her anything again !

I have had some beauties the favourite is a French 17 year old chestnut brown leather bag by Texier which still looks good.

I am lusting after a Monaco bag from Bottega Veneta but it's waaay over budget.

It was great. I kept a couple of nappies and a thing of wipes in the bottom bit.

Natural leather (think Bridge) bucket bag, from Florence. Bought 20 years ago and I still get asked where it's from! My hairdresser asked me last week if I ever want to get rid of it, can she buy it?

A "Focco" aka a Fake Rocco I got on Ebay from China. Rocco is a bag by Alexander Wang that I'd have to win the lottery to buy.

The fake is great! Nobody actually thinks its the real deal cos I live in a very un-designer environment but thats not at all why I got it. I liked the studs on the bottom, the cross body strap and the cavernous inside for all my crap.

Its still going strong after 5 years actually and I use it constantly!

I really want that tan bag above. I'm a sucker for bottom compartments. Also am carrying around wipes and nappies constantly these days.

A green suede one from Urban Outfitters - not as fancy as the others posted here but god I loved it to death. It eventually died after nearly 10 years of loyal service.

I went to Corfu with my mum when I was 16 and she bought me a lovely light tan leather satchel style bag.
I LOVED that bag. Used it daily. It saw me through my A'levels and Uni. I even used it when I first started work.
After 20 years of service, I had to retire it. I've never found another one bag to replace it.

Jimmy choo manda - it was my first grownup day bag and I loved it. wont throw it out but it's absolutely trashed

My favourite and most coveted bag was back in my teen years whilst at school - the Shellys bag!

It held schoolwork during the week then bottles of cider at the weekend !

Nowadays I just use River Island handbags , usually a new one from there each year, I've never been into expensive handbags .

On a more serious note ...
If money truly was no object I like the classic Chanel Chain strap bags but I have googled these before and my eyes nearly popped out at the prices !

My favourite " grown up " handbag was a Miss Selfridge Denim Glittery Baguette bag that I took clubbing with me 1999.

I love my current favorite bag, Chloe's Mini Marcie - it's compact, durable, distinctive and I wear it nearly every day. But my favorite bag of all time is
probably a burgundy patchwork leather tote that I bought in Hong Kong in 2007. It was my favorite work bag for years. Unfortunately a milk bottle leaked and greasestained it. I still have it, love the deepening patina (the stain blends in), might start using it again.

That bag is gorgeous frustrated

I have a Chloe too - and I just love it! Was terribly expensive but I have carted it around with me everyday for about ten years! It nearly came to an end when a bar tender spilt red wine on it last weekend... But Thank god for protector spray and soda water :)

My current bag.
It's a black leather snakeskin bowling bag by Ted Baker.

I've had it about 3 years and it still looks like new even though I used it every day up until DS was born. I've just started using it again since I've gone back to work and no longer have to carry around a changing bag every bloody day. (Although I do love my changing bag too)

My favouritest for sentimental reasons is a little red shoulder bag from whatever the Osprey diffusion line in Debenhams was called about 12 years ago, it was only about £40 but when I saw it I was on Jobseeker's Allowance and I saved so hard to get it, I still keep it just for how great it felt when I got it!

Can't find better pic, but this is my fave at the mo. The colour limits how often it's used as doesn't really match jeans and trainers get up but I use it for work. Love it. Think it's a marmite bag, either love or hate
