Especially on misty mornings when you are at work all day.
No seeing yourself in the loo mirror at lunchtime looking WILD.

I like the white Elnett as its less scented and apparently ' flexible' Hmm

I have long, loose curly type hair.

I pile it into a bun at night and spray it with Elnett - completely perfect the next morning.

It is the only hairspray, imo.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/09/2015 22:19

I bought it again recently after a long time of deflecting to the cheap stuff. It's good but I hate the smell - it makes me choke.

TheDowagerCuntess · 24/09/2015 22:26

I use a combo of mousse and afghan oil.

Hairspray - are people using it on loose hair, worn down? Or just for up dos? Doesn't it go all crunchy and non-swingy?

TheDowagerCuntess · 24/09/2015 22:28

Afghan!?

Argan oil.

BeaLola · 24/09/2015 22:32

I always use the underperfiumed one and buy it cheap from Boots or Superdru on 3 4 2. It is thebst imo

DickDewy · 24/09/2015 22:33

Elnett does not go crunchy or stiff. I wear my hair down all the time (unless at gym) - it's very swingy. Lol at afghan oil.

BrendaandEddie · 24/09/2015 22:54

Would a dog be an argan hound ?

Might get some of dis. I've given up on mousse/styling products as they always give me an itchy scalp. Hair can look a bit flat consequently. Elnette was always the best one - might try the Pantene as well.
DH swears by Boots Flirty Curls Grin.

@BrendaandEddie

Why don't we get more Beauty product tests on here? We'd rock them

Duly noted! We do try, and will try again with a host of beauty brands.

We know you all love a good beauty find and will try to offer more to test in future.

In the meantime, keep adding your Style and Beauty reviews [[http://www.mumsnet.com/reviews/style-and-beauty
here]]! Smile

Hmmmmm mousse you say?

Do you promise I won't look like Bonnie Tyler?

But YY to Elnette. I get a huge can at Christmas and it lasts me the year. Bargains.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/09/2015 18:43

Yes please to product tests! :)

BrendaandEddie · 26/09/2015 07:45

I got some Lauder face stuff once. And some Aveda hair stuff. Was good. Now it's all gone quiet.

i use the green elnett all the time as it's unscented, will try the white one, as the green one isn't that strong. can't stand the smell of the original one

BrendaandEddie · 26/09/2015 07:54

Green?!!!Shock

Elnett is magical stuff. I've worked out quite recently that I don't even need to wash and blowdry/BBH my hair every morning that I want to wear it down and look polished.

I just brush it through in the morning, then stick some big velcro rollers in the fringe and layers, Elnett the shit out of them, do my make-up, and then un-roll the hair and voila - bouncy salon blow dry.

No other hairspray seems to have the same effect.

DickDewy · 26/09/2015 13:52

I like "Elnett the shit out of them"! They should use it in their adverts. Grin

MitzyLeFroof · 26/09/2015 14:08

I wish I had some rollers in the house so I could Elnett the shit out of my hair Sad

And all you Elnett smell haters are crazy. Elnett smells like anticipation!

Paperblank · 26/09/2015 16:17

Tesco have their own version of elnette, it's in a gold can. I tried it after it was recommended by a few magazines as being nearly as good as the real thing.

The school run and dad's nursing home is as glamorous as it gets for me, but it seemed ok! I used to be an elnette only girl but have dabbled with a few brands since. Now I just want to go out and buy it again to really see if I notice the difference.

DO YOU HEAR BEAUTY PRODUCT PRODUCERS??? The power of a mumsnet thread Grin

The best hair mousse is the purple one by Tesco for a quid. FACT.

(The pink £1 serum is quite good too)
