Omg!

I'm buying that dressing gown

treaclesoda · 20/09/2015 21:10

It's hideous but when I saw the link said 'womenswear' I had visions of it being a t shirt with tatty teddy in sequins or something equally awful. The horrible nightie was a pleasant surprise!

DonkeyOaty · 20/09/2015 21:11

My mate would. Let's call her Ruth. Ruth would have jammies and ghastly slippers too, all matchy matchy.

BrendaandEddie · 20/09/2015 21:12

and in the smaller stores too, so not even niche

stripytees · 20/09/2015 21:13

My mother totally would.

mapmyface · 20/09/2015 21:14

Jesus, even my five year old dd wouldn't like that and it's aimed at grown women?

ThighsofThunder · 20/09/2015 21:14

I have an M&S tatty teddy dressing gown... it's sort of sentimental, it was my Grandma's and she passed away last year, my mum has the same one.

It is hideous, but incredibly warm and cosy!

verenti · 20/09/2015 21:15

Who on earth over the age of 10 wants a dressing gown with ears and a teddy face on?!Shock

GooodMythicalMorning · 20/09/2015 21:15

I like it but I wouldn't pay that for it. Only if it was half price or something similar.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 20/09/2015 21:16

OMG - I now know what MIL will be getting me for Christmas!

BikeRunSki · 20/09/2015 21:16

Teenagers ?

ThighsofThunder · 20/09/2015 21:16

Having just checked the link, I think mine is even worse! It doesn't have the weird drawstring thing, but it is BRIGHT RED.

InQuiteAPickle · 20/09/2015 21:19

Calm down, it's only night wear! Who the fuck sees it.

It's not like it's a Tatty Teddy jumper. And no I don't own it before anyone starts accusing! Grin

SouthAmericanCuisine · 20/09/2015 21:19

Presumably the same people who buy the womenswear in "The Disney Store"?

BrendaandEddie · 20/09/2015 21:21

dressing gowns that were grandmas are excused

OP posts:
verenti · 20/09/2015 21:21

Seeing as half of MN seem to wear their nightwear for most of the day then I imagine quite a lot of people would see it!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/09/2015 21:21

Perhaps you'd prefer this? Fucking awful, all of it.

verenti · 20/09/2015 21:24

Vom - just read the reviews for that Remus!

RJnomaaaaaargh · 20/09/2015 21:25

I'd quite like the dressing gown.

NorbertDentressangle · 20/09/2015 21:25

Wasn't Tatty Teddy all the rage (to use one of my Gran's expressions) for young girls about 5+ years ago?

Haven't M&S done a double whammy in that they've a)missed the boat, and b) aimed it at the wrong age group?

BrendaandEddie · 20/09/2015 21:27

This little outfit showcased "the girls" brilliantly.

Jeez - you'd need that dressing gown over the sexy teddy or you'd freeze in this weather. You could be a sexy frump.

burnishedsilver · 20/09/2015 22:19

It's ridiculously difficult to get cotton nightwear for women that doesn't look like children's wear.
