I really like it but fear it may be a little Riverdance=y

I like it. It's got a sort of Appalachian mountains look. I'd wear with bare legs and cowboy boots Smile

bessarabiantiger · 18/09/2015 22:04

awks

That's a really fucking nice dress.

If you're wearing it, if it makes you happy, and if it doesn't murder everyone within a fifty foot radius, then you enjoy it. You'll look grand.

Primadonnagirl · 18/09/2015 22:06

I think ..in that dress.. You're about as easy as a nuclear war!

Twinklestein · 18/09/2015 22:06

I'd wear it with a black biker and heels.

Awks · 18/09/2015 22:07

What will I wear it with? God knows, probably a padded coat because of the cold, and my work shoes :)

And DD are indeed touring and we have tickets. To be fair I never was a massive fan but my friend is and we went to see Spandau earlier in the year and it was a huge laugh so we are extending our 80's repertoire of uncool bands obv and John Taylor is still massively hot

I cut so far before I have to say...

Awks · 18/09/2015 22:10

Yeah, Wild boys and girls never lose it, wild boys and girls always shine.

I cant actually wait to put my Apalacian, riverdancey frock on with my work shoes and go scream at John Taylor like a psycho grandma :)

clutterfly · 18/09/2015 22:13

BifsWif · 18/09/2015 22:17

I like it!

Awks · 18/09/2015 22:29

It's polarised opinion between us Pearl Lowe types who like it and you Hotter shoes types who don't.

I'll post a pic of me in it when it comes Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/09/2015 22:34

God - if ever I become a Hotter shoes type, please will somebody put me out of my misery?

ForeverLivingMyArse · 18/09/2015 22:37

I like it, could look really good

Awks · 18/09/2015 22:38

Hotter Shoes. The most misleading brand ever.

I like it. It manages to be quite 'now' and also quite classic, I think because the embroidery is concentrated rather than being all over. Heck, I like it and I went shopping today and got in a rage because of the folksy '70s crap.

I recommend these M&S boots (in RED!), I tried them on today and they are super-comfy.

PrimalLass · 19/09/2015 07:47

I like it.

orlakielyimnot · 19/09/2015 07:47

I think its a beautiful dress but I wouldn't buy it as I would find it too challenging to wear. I imagine if you find a way to wear it that you will really enjoy it.

dynevoran · 19/09/2015 07:52

I love it and might buy it. Black tights and Chelsea boots and a leather jacket would be perfect.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 19/09/2015 09:58

Those m and s boots look pretty 'Durany' to me.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 19/09/2015 10:04

I bought this dress from Topshop about 3 years ago, I love it but haven't worn it much, the floaty sleeves are a bit difficult when eating out.

Is this a nice Dress?
AnyoneButAndre · 19/09/2015 10:11

I think this is one of those looks that we see in the magazines and instantly laugh and say "Oh my god that looks like something Wee Jimmie Krankie [insert insulting cultural reference here] would wear!" And then over the course of a few months they wear us down until we've forgotten we ever thought it was a strange look. I think it's a great dress. How long is it?

Have a fantastic time.

MuchasSmoochas · 19/09/2015 11:10

Yes definitely toughen in up with black. You are so lucky! Swoon at Simon.

Awks · 19/09/2015 13:58

Thank you all. I cant wait for it to come. Think I'll wear it with last years Topshop toga pulla ripoff boots, which are very similar to the M & S ones above. Not sure how long it will be in real life, it's above the knee on the model but I'm shorter than her. Hope it fits

PS I wont be swooning at Simon, never liked him, JT was my boy.

RockinHippy · 19/09/2015 14:08

I personally wouldn't, but only because I don't like the length & it's too closed in at the neck line for me & would look awful as I'm not flat chested enough

I do agree with the poster above who says you need to be slim/smaller bust to carry it off, but if you are, then it would look great with thick tights & the right boots

Other than that, at your age, sod em, if you like it, wear it - I would, we are too old to be worrying about what anyone else thinks Grin
