Hair going frizzy. Would a decent hairdryer help?

I went to hairdresser for a long overdue cut in the week. When she blow dried my hair it was not frizzy at all and kept its shape until I washed it. However, when I did it it went frizzy. Am needing a new hairdryer. Is it worth investing in an expensive one eg Parlux, GHD etc?

Did you use any serums/sprays when you dried it?

Yes I used a volume boosting spray and argan oil. Also used coconut oil on ends.
