Is this a nice coat? Or am I just being drawn in by the price..?

I have a tendency to get sucked in by Groupon deals...is this nice? I think I like it!

It's lovely but I'd bet money the flap doesn't stay up on the shoulder so then you're basically left with the waterfall Cardie look

MelanieCheeks · 17/09/2015 10:34

I think it's nice, but I'm not sure how the flap attaches?

HolgerDanske · 17/09/2015 10:34

I like it! And if the flap doesn't stay up I'm sure there's some crafty way of ensuring it does...

I love a drapey coat. Sigh so many coats so little money.

CremeDeSudo · 17/09/2015 10:37

Thanks all! For £23 (plus Quidco cashback Grin) I think I'm willing to take the risk with the flap..hmmm..now what colour?!

Grey or navy for me.

HolgerDanske · 17/09/2015 10:40

How does quidco work and is it worth it?

CremeDeSudo · 17/09/2015 10:50

Quidco is amazing. Just buy anything you're going to buy online via Quidco and you get paid money back. It's only small amounts, but adds up. I've had £650 back from them for buying things I was going to buy anyway. It's 5% cashback on Groupon purchases.

I've decided on the burgundy one Smile

I like it! - - and I would secure the flappy bit into place - - going to look for it for me --- that's why these threads are soooo bad!!

ouryve · 17/09/2015 10:53

It looks like it would be worse than useless in anything more than a gentle breeze.

HolgerDanske · 17/09/2015 10:55

Sigh I really want one too. Damn you, S & B!

Thanks for the info on quidco, sounds like I should have signed up ages ago!

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 17/09/2015 10:57

oooh i LIKE that....

nice big brooch will keep those flaps under control...who was asking about brooches yesterday???

CremeDeSudo · 17/09/2015 11:00

Topcashback is good too! I've only got £30 so far though...

TheHouseOnTheLane · 17/09/2015 11:00

I've seen similar on Ebay from China so be aware it will be thin and cheaply made...that plastic edging will crack and peel....and they will be SMALL!!

crapfatbanana · 17/09/2015 11:02

I like it - especially the grey.

HolgerDanske · 17/09/2015 11:07

Oh hmmmm yes that does change things a bit. I suppose for that price you could look at it as a one-season thing. But I do prefer to buy quality and keep for years.

lorelei9 · 17/09/2015 11:11

I really like it but if there's no practical way to secure it across the shoulder, I would be put off. I don't think it will be warm though.

ChristineDePisan · 17/09/2015 11:15

I think from the photos that the right hand flap has a popper on it that secures around the back of the collar?

I like it - it's a one season coat, and will probably pill badly, but at that price...

CremeDeSudo · 17/09/2015 11:18

I've ordered it. I just want an autumn coat, and ordered it in a larger size that I'd normally get so fingers crossed!

OP posts:
HolgerDanske · 17/09/2015 11:19

Hope it's brilliant and fits just right Smile

I like a lightweight coat for autumn, it looks perfect for that.
