Can anyone advise on how to do my eye makeup more attractively?

Please? I've got eyes which are quite Asian in their shape (I'm not Asian) in that I almost have a single lid...I usually just put a neutral pale colour all over the area up to where my crease should be and then add some eyeliner or dark eyeshadow applied with a thin brush...to my upper lash line...then a bit on the lower lash.

But it's BORING.

I want something more madeup looking...but suitable for day. Please.

I am so useless with eyeshadow (hooded eyes so never saw the point) but decided to take the plunge recently. I went on to the Mac website and they have an 'email an artist' feature. I just described the kind of thing I wanted and they replied telling me what to use and what to avoid, and how to apply. I preferred this than going in to the shop because then I was less pressured to buy EVERYTHING. And actually after trying it, I can't believe I've managed to do it myself.

Hi thehouseonthelane. My advice would be go to make up counter in dept store and let them show you how to do what you are looking for.
I am transgendered and whilst make up has always been a passion of mine I sadly didn't have the teenage years of trying out different looks and experimenting so when I transitioned full time I really only had one look. All I did was add a bit of everything for evenings out.
I went to bare minerals and they gave me about 3 different looks which I mix and match all the time and never looked back.
