If I describe the coat I want, can someone suggest somewhere good to look, please?

I'm after a red (maybe bright, but open to any red really), single breasted coat. With a belt. And a wide ish collar that'll sit far over my shoulders. Knee length or not far above, but definitely no longer (although I can alter something that's too long so it's what I want).

It doesn't have to be exactly that, that's just what I've got in my head that I fancy.

No budget at the mo, just want to see what's about that might fit the bill and go from there but I haven't bought a decent coat for myself in so long, I don't know where to go!

Hi - I haven't checked to see whether they have red coats, but I have had nice similar styles from jigsaw, Reiss, oasis and ted baker, depending on budget

The only one with a belt I can find is a trenchcoat on M&S, but there are single breasted red coats on Hobbs and Jaeger, including both their outlet sites.

Coast have a nice red coat, but no belt or collar. They also have a double breasted coat with a belt and wide collar in navy, which I think is very similar to one I bought there about 6 years ago (it's a fab shape and I've worn it lots).

I hadn't considered any other colours, just had red stuck in my head. The navy one sounds like what I'm after, just a different colour, so I'll take a look at that now.

I quite like that! Not sure about the puffy wrists though but have saved to favourites to go back to.

There's a nice cream one too, but I doubt it'd stay that colour for long in my house!

Faux, that Tesco one's perfect! Wonder how warm it'd be. Might see if the big Tesco near ish us has them in & nip down there at the weekend with the girls.

I had a coat very similar yo that from Debenhams, about 12 years ago! May be worth checking them anyway, as what you've described is a fairly classic style.

Not keen on hoods - I prefer to wear hats.
