Today I'm dressed like my 17 year old self. I feel like me, I feel comfortable & this is MY style.

Except it's 2015 & I'm nearly 40. Can we do this? If we're older can we do 80s or 90s fashion again? Or do we look like fools?

I'm already doing it so perhaps I'm a bit late in asking but I just wondered...

mewkins - agree! I wanted to be Angela Chase! Too bad they canceled the show after one season. :(

I know! Most of them have done pretty well though. Apart from the obvious ones I am often watching a film abd another actor from MSCL pops up.

burnished, I see my mum in the mirror whatever I wear, and I'm not happy about it at all (as she's horrible and I'm NC with her ?? I don't want to see her in the fecking mirror!). But I suppose I'd rather see my mum's face counteracted by my own clothes and style, than start dressing like her too!

(She once tried to make me buy some bootcut, pastel, STRIPED jeans from cotton traders because they suited her (in her opinion), and so would suit me. Then she lost weight and gave me hers because "they'll still fit you" Grrr. Hmm I may have gone off at a tangent sorry...)

Well I wore my DMs on the school run just now as it is torrential rain .. However with jeans and not ripped fishnets , a tutu and a basque as I shamefully wore in the 80s ;) with scarlet red hair and scary eye make up !!! Then not now :) now in growing out the silvers !

BoskyCat · 15/09/2015 11:06

I think that would be a great school run outfit dramarama :)

Think I might get arrested ;)

To be honest, I don't particularly want to keep on reliving my fashion youth. I'd rather move on.

I'd love to walk into a store and go 'Wow I've never seen anything like that before!' and 'Do I dare?' But as fashion designers seem to have the memory span of an average amoeba, it doesn't seem likely to happen.
