Do you ever try clothes on in shops that you have no intention of buying?

I used to have a friend at sixth form who used to do this and I remember just rolling my eyes and refused to do the same because I felt it was 'wrong'.

Now I'm a 35 year old single mum on an average salary and usually shop at high street stores like H&M, Dorothy Perkins, Oasis, Next. Am tempted to go somewhere nicer and just try on some lovely clothes, enjoy my figure while I can and just feel pretty. Is that odd?!

No I used to do it when I had time, good if you need to work out what suits, try a new colour etc, if I do it I prefer to go somewhere big like Selfridges - only problem is you sometimes end up buying stuff because it looks so fabulous but is completely impractical with your lifestyle etc.

Do it! It's not wrong at all!

The risk is you try something you're sure you can't afford, won't buy blah blah but then before you know it the credit card's out...

God no, I hate hate hate shop changing rooms so would never enter one for fun Grin

In fact I rarely try things on even when I am going to buy them, I just guess as to size / fit.

But YANBU if that is enjoyable to you!

Knock yourself out, if you think you can resist the temptation to buy if it looks good.

I, however, am another one who cannot be arsed getting their kit off unless there's a good reason for it Grin

I think I might just do it. I don't have a credit card and I'll ensure I visit with an empty purse so I can't be tempted!!

I do it but sometimes I end up buying even if I can't afford it.

You can always try something on and take a photo using your phone ( just so you can remind yourself how good you look in quality clothes ) Smile

I did the same with a pair of sandals ( thought I would just try them on as I would never spend that much on some fancy flip flops ) ,ended up buying them as they were the most comfortable thing I have had on my feet.

Only do it if your strong enough to resist buying.
