Converse alternatives?

I'm nearly 40 and after all these years, I am still pretty dreadful at furnishing my feet.

I have converse from a few years ago but I look scruffy in them now and need to move on! I'm looking for something understated but a bit trendy, so it appears I know what I'm doing fashion wise!

Can anyone suggest any alternatives? I don't know whether to maybe just get some actual trainers instead? - I see people in skinny jeans, leggings with trainers (not converse) all the time and they look effortlessly cool, but that could be because they are half my age!

I'm in need of fashionable comfort - can anyone help please??!

I got palladium flex as I thought they looked a bit more grown up than converse. They are fab.

I'm a massive fan of the Adidas ZX Flux range, they are super comfy and come in so many colours/patterns.

I've got a pair of Keds, which I feel are a great alternative to Converse.
They also come in lots of styles and colours and I find them less "clown-like" than Converse on my feet!

I absolutely hated converse till a couple of years ago and now I just love them.

Which means everything that looks similar just looks like a rip off of the original to me, so it's either trainers or converse for me for now until something amazing comes along.

Watching too....though I love my Converse, open to suggestions....

I tried on a pair of Nike Air Max today and they are sooo confortable, they look lovely on as well. Maybe a more supportive alternative to converses? I can't decide between the all black or black/grey...
