How to have curls that last when you have hair like straw...

I have very fine blonde hair, and lately hv had reasonable success with achieving the Loose curls look with my ghds. However, the curls just won't last and I wondered what I can do ? I've just had my hair cut again and it's in fairly good
condition x

Have you tried pinning the curls while they're still hot? I have long, fine hair and I find that pinning then leaving to cool before spraying lightly with a flexible hairspray before releasing.
