I need new slippers. I have plantar fasciitis. I don't want to look like and old woman!

Need supportive slippers. Have looked on a few sites but slippers recommended for plantar fasciitis are all very old lady like.

Anyone found any that won't make me look 95?

I had PF last year. Couldn't find any suitable slippers anywhere so wore crocs indoors with thick socks. Don't have PF anymore, still wearing the crocs though... Grin

i have ugg lookalike boots with insoles put in them. if icould afford i'd prob go for fitflop clogs, but i do like a boot.

That's bedroom athletics by the way. Obviously the link isn't working

TheTravellingLemon · 03/09/2015 21:51

I have PF and have to wear slippers or shoes all the time.

I invested in Ugg slippers, but they have to be the ones with the thick soles. They're just about to be replaced, but I've had them for three years and like I said, I wear the all the time when I'm in doors because I can't be bare foot. Expensive I admit, but they last and last. My previous ones would last 3 months max.

AlisonWunderland · 03/09/2015 21:51

There's no way I'm googling bedroom athletics!

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 03/09/2015 21:51

I bought cheap I felt clogs and glued sport insoles into them but when they fell apart I got the shuvs for my bday. They were on sale. Super confirm

CiderwithBuda · 03/09/2015 22:30

Ooh. Thanks for all suggestions.

I had Fit Flop clogs last year. The PF started around March after a winter of wearing them so not too sure about them for this year.

Grin at Bedroom Athletics! I'll have a look!

I'll have a look at Uggs too.

So desperate bt to trigger it off again. Although I suppose as I now have proper custom orthotics for shoes it should be ok.

I was going to suggest fitflop shuv. I suffered with PF for 2 years until I started wearing fitflop boots on a regular basis. It appears to have entirely cleared up now (I've been PF pain free for at least 6 months).

CiderwithBuda · 03/09/2015 22:49

I've ordered the Shuvs.

Am currently wearing Birkenstock Gizehs that the chiropodist stuck inserts in for me. Feet are cold though! Looking forward to being able to wear socks again! Even indoors my feet get cold. Don't like wearing outdoor shoes in the house.

I used fit flops indoors when I had plantar fasciitis.

Costco sell shearling slippers with a thick rubber sole which are great. My mates has genuine ugg slipper and swears they are the same. The wool is all sheepskin and they only cost £20 Ish. They are the mule type
