I'm after a serum with niacinamide that I can pick up in Boots/Superdrug.

Lucysmam get yourself over to the skin addiction UK sub reddit on the left there's a menu of ingredients inc niacinamide if you click on it you'll get a list of UK products that contain it. Strangely I was just having a look there.

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 22:43

ooh, ta, will have a look now Grin

I hadn't spotted those ingredient 'guides' before - very handy! Thanks very much Smile

I thought the Olay stuff had this in it. It might be another chemical beginning with N though!

lucysmam · 22/08/2015 23:11

I'll check out Olay, thanks Smile

What does niacinamide do??? Do I need it in my life ???

gladyoucame · 23/08/2015 08:36

Only bought it yesterday so haven't tried it yet but the B Radiant Rejuvenating serum from superdrug has niacinamide in it. It was on special offer for £6-7 ish.

lucysmam · 23/08/2015 09:12

Thanks glad, I will look it up on their website.

what is that magic ingredient? what does it do? Do i need it in my life?

lucysmam · 23/08/2015 16:50

magic ingredient Paula's Choice link.

I've got oily skin & it's helped reduce shine by mid day & a lovely deep forehead wrinkle is looking less defined around the edges Smile

lucysmam some of the loreal youth code ones do. I have a couple for anti ageing and dark spots that definitely do, i just checked the ingredients. I know you are local to me so check out the store beginning with B on D Street, where the buses go, as they often have them cheaper in there. HTH Smile

lucysmam · 23/08/2015 17:08

Aaah, thanks very much.

B & D had me confused for a mo Grin I shall have a look next time we head that way.

I'm sure the Freederm range is based on niacinamide - I'm not sure if they have a serum though.

Just had a check and how does this or this look?

lucysmam · 23/08/2015 17:41

Thanks myrtle, wouldn't have thought to look at Freederm, I thought it was more a teenager sort of brand iyswim.

The first one looks ideal depending on the texture which I'll investigate now Smile

LRP Effaclar Duo has both Niacinamide and salicylic acid

MsBojangles · 24/08/2015 11:42

Cerave PM has it, not a serum though.

lucysmam · 24/08/2015 11:44

Ah, no, I'm after something with a lighter consistency to go before my cream - I'm happy with that.

I've made a note of everything mentioned though for future use Smile

The Olay serums are some of the best niacinamide products around and don’t break the bank either. As they’re serums they’re fairly light-textured.
