So what colour would go with this skirt?

Just bought red tartan skirt and brown boots - (Stewart tartan) - what colour to wear with it to avoid looking like school uniform? Would black-red-brown be a faux pas? Or should I stick to cream? Any top needs to be baby-vom proof...

Prob is that brown tops make me look ill - brown hair and sallow skin, so need a contrast

Think I'll go for cream (now need to get a cream top...). Green wd look v school-uniformy I think, plus most shades of green make me look ill
