What colour tights for a navy dress and charcoal ankle boots?

Do you all wear black tights with a navy dress, or should I opt for grey or another colour? I'm thinking thick woolly tights for when it's cold.
Also, where do you all get your thick woolly tights from?
Thank you

I don't think I would introduce black into the mix. I would probably wear grey to get a longer leg line iyswim. John Lewis normally have a good range of tights.

cream?

Personally I like grey - the go with most things I wear and aren't as stark as black. I normally buy them from M&S but plan to treat myself to a pair of Wolfords or Falke this autumn so I can see what all the fuss is about.

I would wear navy or charcoal, thus lengthening either dress or boots.

Adding another colour would be too distracting, even if you are very tall. Unless you are very young, the skirt is very short and the legs are the main statement.

Thanks guys, think I'll try charcoal first . Never thought of cream, might look good if very thick
