I've not had a haircut for over 2 years... What shall I do with it?

I want a cut that's low-maintenance, tie-back-able & considerably shorter than the waist-length hair I currently have! I don't want to colour it or have hair flopping in my eyes & it has a weird flick in it if it's too short - one side curls under at the bottom, the other curls out. Aside from that I'm open to options.

I have zero style sense, someone please help?

Id do a fringe. Your forehead is quite high and can take it. Then shaggy layers.

Lady. Your split ends must be horrendous.

I have similar length & I wear it as a deep U shape with couple of layers. The curling at ends can go with this cut.

I'm booked in for Weds afternoon & will probably go with something like burnished's second picture... I think, unless I chicken out! Blush

I've taken that same picture to the hairdressers as that's what I'm trying to grow it into. So far so good.
Good luck :-)

You remind me of Jennifer Garner. :)

Agree with burnishedsilver's suggestion. I just got one myself.

If you can't be added to style it then that style will never work. It will just look like curtains.
A shaggy fringe way easier. And less mumsy

"Arsed"

If you have wavy hair won't that mean you will have to be extra vigilant when blowing it dry to get all the ends tucked in. I'd go for a long bob without fringe. To top of your shoulders. All one length. See how that works. You can still tie it back if you get it graded to be slightly longer at the front. At least you won't have layers to work on.

Try it like that for two months or so and go from there. Then if you want have a fringe cut or layers.

Being waist length you won't have had to bother too much with blowing dry and at least neck length should be minimal fuss. Go for a nice sleek glossy look.

Get a good 6" off it till you get to really healthy hair. Long layers.

Healthy hair is a lot easier and nicer than very long hair. Also at shoulder blade length you can blast it with a drier or just leave it to dry and it should still be ok.
