Not liquid or gel...I can't for the life of me make those do what I want Confused

Where, or what brand, is my best bet? Smile

I have many eyeliner pencils :) My recommendations would be Kiko if you're in London. Gosh in Superdrug are very good too (velvet touch I think). The Essence kohl ones in Wilkos are not bad and really good value.

Ilovenannyplum · 06/08/2015 09:34

Rimmel 'Scandaleyes' pencil is very good

Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 06/08/2015 09:38

I recently bought a Rimmel eyeliner pencil that I am pleased with. It's called Exaggerate waterproof eye definer but it's just a pencil with a smudging sponge tip on one end. It comes in several colours including black etc but I went for a bright blue as it was for holiday use. HTH.

Maybemyrtle Isn't Essence make up
very good for the price.
Their mascara in the orange tube is super though not quite as good as my Chanel volume one.
I'll try their eyeliner pencil on your advice.

Mrsjayy · 06/08/2015 09:45

Superdrug MUA is what i use i very rarely wear make up these days but i bought an eyeliner there for a party and love it been using it a lot

lucysmam · 06/08/2015 09:45

No Kiko unfortunately, I have seen their stuff well reviewed.

I'll have a look at Essence in Wilko and Rimmel - I think they have a stand in there too.

I don't think I've tried MUA eyeliners MrsJay, I'll drag the girls in there too Grin

The dd loves MUA stuff

OneLittleLady · 06/08/2015 10:25

rimmel or mua in superdrug. both are very good, especially the rimmel scandeleyes ones

goldenhen · 06/08/2015 10:51

I'd second the Gosh pencils. They're nice and soft and don't tug at the skin.

PretzelPrincess · 06/08/2015 10:52

Barry M are amazing! Cheap too and normally on a 3 for 2 in boots.

sugartees · 06/08/2015 11:04

Bourjois "kohl and contour" - it's got a sharpener built into the lid. 20 years of wearing black eyeliner every day and this one is my fave, lasts all day Smile

knitknack · 06/08/2015 13:06

I have both the essence gel liner and the Charlotte tilbury pencil on the go at the moment - I find myself reaching for the essence (£2.30) more than the Charlotte T (£19!)...

PeepPeep · 06/08/2015 13:34

I haven't actually tried them yet, but Sali Hughes recommends Top Shop.

hollyisalovelyname · 06/08/2015 18:23

Sugartees apparently Bourjois and Chanel are made in the same factory.

sugartees · 06/08/2015 21:45

Ooh really? Feel all posh now Wink

Bluecheese22 · 07/08/2015 08:53

No7 ones are fab for being gentle but have strong colours and good staying power.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/08/2015 11:51

BarryM

Very soft, no drag on my elderly eyes
Love the Metallic ones
Very good price, often on 3 for 2

Not animal tested

Gotta luv a bit of Barry Wink

(I found the No7 ones in my Christmas Advent were really hard )

Molinko · 07/08/2015 11:53

Also going to say Barry M, particularly the waterproof metallic ones such as "Gun Metal", I'm on my third of that one!

chaiselounger · 07/08/2015 12:06

I need soft ones aswell.
Which soft ones do you recommend and are they available locally rather than having to go into London?

hollyisalovelyname · 07/08/2015 12:24

No 7 ( without Advent calendar Grin) are very soft I found - and I've tried loads of eye pencils. But there are different types in their range so test them on your hand.
If you have sensitive eyes be careful with glittery eye pencils because the glittery bits, though tiny, can irritate the eyes.

loraflora · 07/08/2015 16:04

The M&S autograph Kohl pencil is quite soft, and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes.
