Morning makeup regime

Talk me through yours. Being realistic I've got ten minutes (two small children), although I COULD get up earlier.

I've not bothered with makeup for about 3 years, aside from a bit of mascara and that maybelline eyebrow mascara.

I'm babbling. What should I do if time is limited? Any product tips?

Up.
Cleanser
Primer/moisturiser.
Make coffee.
Foundation.
Powder.
Lippy.
Eyes.
Drink coffee.

10 mins (though I like to take it easy...).

(ps: I can't help noticing that some use primer AND serum..aren't they the same thing?)

Petal02 · 24/07/2015 17:53

Black Max Factor eye liner and No 7 mascara

LoodleDoodle · 24/07/2015 18:29

Mine is ten minutes not counting cleanse, tone and moisturise which doesn't count as its part of bathroom routine. Lone parent but DD loves watching so no problem there.

EL Doublewear, fingers then brush.
Eyebrow pencil
Swipe of UD eyeshadow
Eyeliner flick and tight line
Mascara
High beam
Benetint
Lipstick
Fluffy brush translucent powder over lids and brows.

If I'm out out, contacts first.

hollieberrie · 24/07/2015 18:44

Normal routine for work days:

HCC and quick swipe of brightening toner
Apply foundation with brush (have recently started this instead of fingers and find it goes on much better)
Under eye concealers (2 shades as huge bags and tear troughs to disguise)
Powder
Eyeliner
Mascara
Quick bit of vaseline on lips

Takes about 10 mins

Petal02 Would you recommend Corn Silk? Ive heard good things!

Lulabellarama · 24/07/2015 19:00

Body shop camomile balm cleanser
Nip and fab glycolic pads
Revitalift moisturiser with SPF30
Estée Lauder DW light
Cheap concealer
Cheap matte bronzer
Cheap dark brown eyeshadow as eyeliner and sometimes a bit to define brows
Maybelline mascara
Bourgeois healthy glow creme blush
Sometimes some Benetint on my lips

Takes about 5 minutes

If I'm going out I usually do a smokey eye, and add highlighter and lipgloss.

GoooRooo · 24/07/2015 19:08

Lanacane as primer
Foundation
Blusher
Mascara
Lippy

Takes five minutes.

Kennington · 24/07/2015 19:08

Touch of primer from Clinique on forehead and nose
Dior glow maximiser on brow bone and cheekbone. Slap dash.
Clarins concealer brushed on in a couple of areas on nose and a bit In the corner of my eyes
Benetint - tiny bit though
Bourjois bronzer v small amount to set everything
Clear mascara from natural collection on brows and lashes
Curl lashes
No7 gold tube mascara after

Then for touch ups on nose and under eyes Chanel les beiges no20
Occasionally I wear brown or grey eye pencil if I get to work early enough to apply it there!
I like reading others routines
Mine takes about 5 mins now

midnightmoomoo · 24/07/2015 19:53

A couple of minutes for me....

Thin layer of foundation applied with a brush to even out,
Concealer under eyes and on any spots (time of the month)
Dusting of corn silk powder.
Lipstick.

If I can be bothered I use navy mascara and a sweep of blusher.

I need some make up but I look like aunt sally very quickly! I remember being told when I had my colours done that 'naturals' look rather tarty with too much make up and it made a lot of sense! Too much make up on me and I just look like a child let loose in mummy's make up bag yes ds2, I'm looking at you

moopymoodle · 24/07/2015 20:11

Foundation. Liquid eyeliner. Lip tint. Mascara. Cream blush and bronzer!

Lilacflower · 24/07/2015 20:17

Everyday make up just this - takes about 5 minutes and I wear this every day.

Concealer - two different kinds
Loose Powder
Mascara
Blusher

If I'm going out I'll add foundation, eyeshadow/eyeliner so can take about 20 mins.

chocolatecheesecake · 24/07/2015 20:26

Moisturiser, eye cream, sunblock
Kiehls microblur skin perfector
No.7 stay matte - on tzone
Concealer, under eye concealer
(If going to work/ out- body shop mineral pressed powder)
Mac blusher
Eyebrow pencil
Clinique lipstick
Mascara and mac eyepencil

If going out, eyeshadow.

Takes 5 mins

Hezaire · 24/07/2015 21:30

Thanks everyone! I'm so out of date with this stuff. Cc cream, Bb cream, primer. No idea what this stuff is . Grin

Petal02 · 24/07/2015 21:36

hollieberrie, yes I definitely recommend corn silk powder!!

DelphiniumBlue · 24/07/2015 22:25

Sorry to hijack, but I see many of you use bb or cc cream. What is that, maybe a sort of primer or tinted moisturiser, or something different?

Meanwhile, I use rimmel eyebrow pencil and then a brow powder, pencil eyeliner, sometimes tinted moisturiser or foundation, blusher and lipstick. Done in under 5 mins.

theblairbitchproject · 24/07/2015 22:31

Hate wearing heavy makeup on a day to day basis but I have been in a physical job which means it tends to run down my face by 10am anyway.

Sometimes I remember to moisturise before I leave the house (I know, not great) otherwise I just do so at night.

Primer (Benefit porefessional on T zone and a MAC one for everywhere else)
BB cream (Benefit big easy- it offers more coverage then BB but isnt as heavy as foundation so a great in between, cant recommend it enough if you want to give foundation a break but dont think BB cream will do anything for you)
1/2 coats of mascara (Benefit theyre real- its really good)
Bit of blusher (I have a couple of benefit ones- using rocketeur at the mo)
Light lipstick and pencil (MAC do nice ones)

I tend to apply in the car as im usually in a rush!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 25/07/2015 10:50

Cleanse
Tone
moisturise
Apply BB cream.
Eye shadow
Eye liner
Mascara
Lip gloss
Now and again bronzer
Takes me around 5 mins

SuperFlyHigh · 25/07/2015 17:32

Moisturiser
Sunblock
Foundation
Luminiser under eyes
Mascara
Blusher
Bronzer
Sometimes eyeliner
Lip balm
Lipstick

SuperFlyHigh · 25/07/2015 17:33

5 mins max. Have been applying at home before work or otherwise I leave for when I get to work.

Hezaire · 25/07/2015 18:53

These are great! (And I think this is my most successful thread GrinGrinGrin)

Lndnmummy · 25/07/2015 19:17

I break my routine up in stages. At home i moisturise and put on bb creme or foundation depending on skin. Then bend eyelashes and use bronzer/blush depending on mood (this takes about 4-5min). On the tube I put lipbalm on lips followed by lipcrayon. At work (am always first one in) I tightline and put on mascara. Even if tighlining and mascara just takes 2min I just cant do it with ds clinging to my leg.
If I drive to work I just do lip and eyes in car before heading up to the office.
