Advice needed please! BF and I have been invited to a birthday celebration at Kensington Roof Gardens club - can anyone advise on outfit ideas please?

I'm 5'9", size 10/12. I have this whistles dress or this mintvelvet dress but wonder whether these are appropriate? If not, then suggestions please........and thank you Flowers

Both dressses are fine for the roof gardens. However, I think the Whistles dress is nicer. Have fun, I love it there!

Thanks Luna. I have also ordered boden dress but as it has yet to arrive I have no idea whether it will actually fit me. Glad you approve of the Whistles dress, that was my first choice.

I'm not overly keen on the Whistles dress (just not sure about colours) but it is fine for the Roof Gardens. actually it looks better on the model than it does plain in the first pic! what shoes? orange stilettos? grey? black?

The Mint Velvet one won't load. Boden is nice but a bit plain.

super the whistles dress is very similar to the whistles but in shades of charcoal with a side, not back zip. The shoe dilemma is a bit of a drama, I have long feet (size 9) and have a limited choice. The shoes I usually wear with this dress are nude patent stilettos or nude suede slingback heels, depending on whether I wear tights.

super sorry about the typo, that was meant to say the MV is similar to the whistles Blush

the MV dress is really nice too but I prefer the Whistles for the splashes of orange. i could not find heels in orange in your size (damn) but:-

you're welcome - I like them too...

good thing about the snake is you'll wear again and they're a good price Smile.

At 5'9, size 10/12, you will look amazing in any of the dresses.

The Whistles dress is my favourite, if it suits your colouring. I would put it with light grey shoes/sandals and an orange clutch bag.

mypetdragon · 24/07/2015 16:49

ooh!! I'd forgotten about a clutch bag!! Time to go shopping! Thank you so much Flowers

Just a quick point. Feel free to dress up, but also bare in mind people dress fairly casual there also. Whenever we go there majority in basic dress, or just black jeans and nice top.

mypetdragon · 24/07/2015 19:08

hmm, yes, artandco I have recently discovered this. Thanks for the tip
