Cheaper alternative to salon hair products for fine coloured hair and sensitive scalp

I've been using Wella Professionals shampoo and treatment for years now, my hairdresser says I need to use a treatment after every wash. It's good but expensive though it does last a long time, it's just the initial outlay when I need it aswell as paying for my hair doing.

Can anyone recommend a decent shampoo for sensitive scalp and hair treatment that is reasonably priced. Others seem to use hair products from Boots and their hair looks fine so mine should be ok. I think I've just got into the habit now of thinking I need salon products.

No recommendations, but have you checked if companies like feelunique and lookfantastic have the products you use? They might have a large bottle at a lower price.
I buy Redken shampoo in 1 litre bottles on the sites and it is much cheaper than buying the smaller bottles and buying them at the hair dressers.

Loreal conditioner for coloured hair is amazing, it's in a red bottle.

Dame what shamp do u use with that conditioner

I use the Body Shop's ginger shampoo-it's anti dandruff but gentle and fantastic for sensitive scalps or a Loreal one called intensive. Tbh most Loreal shampoos are great.

Costco Kirkland moisture shampoo (in the purple bottle) sulphate free, paraben free, gluten free ! Safe for colour treated hair. A huge 1L bottle with a pump. I have the same hair as you and it is fab. Gives volume and your hair feels soft and silky. Even my hairdresser got it after seeing the results on my hair. Can't remember the price but not extortionate. The conditioner is not as good.

An excellent, cost effective treatment for sensitive scalp is coconut oil. Use it once a week or fortnight. It's perfect. I have really fine hair but the coconut oil treatment volumises it beautifully. I think it's something to do with the size of the molecules in coconut oil that sink into the hair and swell it. The shine is amazing too.
To use it, massage some coconut oil onto the scalp. Then rub it in your hands and smooth it over sections of your hair. Comb through, put a shower cap on and leave it for 1 or 2 hours. I do my ironing while waiting but don't let that put you off! ????
When you come to wash it out, don't wet your hair first. Put the shampoo directly onto your coconutty hair and massage it in as normal. Then stick your head under the shower and rinse well. Condition as normal.

Lots of people use the body shop banana conditioner with the ginger shamp. Is actually good for sensitive scalp.
