Any ideas - anyone? Have tried all sorts to resolve this problem - dry, flakey skin on chin (somewhat red looking too) but no where else! 8 hr cream, vaseline, Elemis S.O.S, Dermalogica etc. Seems to have started about 12 months ago and is there come rain or shine. Maybe its hormonal, will be 33 yrs v. soon. If anyone can recommend a poss solution I will be most pleased!!

What do you cleanse with ?

I was going to suggest elemis sos. I will be very interested in this thread because my teenage dd has exceedingly dry skin on her face. We have had limited success with various things (ren, decleor) but she is having a flare up right now and nothing is helping it

Have been cleansing with Dermalogica Essential Cleanser for a good few months now, its supposedly for dry skin!

Have you tried a bit of very gentle exfoliation, even just with a flannel, or one of those masks that you put on and then rub off (I think either elemis or decleor do one), before putting the cream on?

You could try using more moisturiser.Dont just put it on twice a day ,put it on every couple of hours.

Sometimes I put a thick layer over my face and tisue off twenty minutes later. So its a bit like a face mask

To be honest if you've had it for a year and tried lots of different things then it might be worth asking your doctor. It could be excema or something
