My feet are just as hideous after the fabled soap and glory foot file as before. What am I doing wrong?

I even slapped on some Flexitol for good measure. My feet are still like hobbits.

I wasn't impressed with it. I used Footner instead and now use the S&G file as a maintenance thing.

jamaisjedors · 15/07/2015 13:54

You need to do it everyday for quite a while. Keep at it. I'm using a normal file but started about a month ago and have now seen a difference.

CherryBonBon · 15/07/2015 13:55

You're doing nothing wrong.

It's shit.

Get an Emjoi Mani Pedi.

Tinfoiled · 15/07/2015 18:25

Every day for quite a while?! Sounds like quick fix footner thing will be more up my street. Thanks all.

I find mine to be more effective if I rinse it under the tap before filing

MrsHooolie · 15/07/2015 21:56

I find Compeed heel balm much more effective than Flexitol.
With the soap and Glory file I really have to press hard.
I have the emoji mani pedi thing but I don't totally love it.

I've battled with hobbit feet for years
Then I had a mouth infection and got prescribed thrush tablets (to take orally) guess what? My feet are lovely

Think it was mostly athletes foot that I couldn't get rid of with over the counter stuff

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 15/07/2015 22:01

Are you doing it on dry feet?

iwantgin · 15/07/2015 22:15

Feet need constant care to stay looking good.

i quite liked the soap and Glory foot file. I also like the Newtons Chiropody sponge.

But whichever - it needs a good cream afterwards. Daily.

I like CSS cream, and Scholl Cracked Heel cream. Either of those do a good job.

I've seen Footner on Groupon recently.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 16/07/2015 08:34

The Newton's sponge is fantastic , I'd forgotten about that.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 16/07/2015 09:30

I find that if I soak my feet first then dry them it works really well.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 16/07/2015 09:31

The soap and glory foot file, that is.

YouPooPooBumBum · 16/07/2015 09:35

I did a footner yesterday. I am already staring at my feet awaiting results - it's highly recommended on here.

FrugalFashionista · 16/07/2015 10:53

I love the foot file, acids are too hardcore for me but this is just right for weekly maintenance.
