YSL Touche Eclat for under your eyes and Chanel Vitalumiere foundation. There is nothing better IMO.

Koshka1984 · 15/11/2006 18:37

It is a bit pricey but totally worth it.
I bought it in april this year and still have 3/4's left.

Oh no, not foundation. It makes you look old and it ruins your skin.

Spend your money on good cleanser and moisturiser so you wont need foundation.

If its at all possible have a facial its an investment in your looks.

Koshka1984 · 15/11/2006 18:50

ha thanks, wish i could have a facial!

trying to get the time to have my hair cut is is terrible!

my skin looks awful though. have got pic if u fancy a laugh.

would tinted moisturiser be better?

What about Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser? I bought some after reading about it here and I'm very pleased with it. Lasts for ages too. It's quite natural looking so you don't look overly made up ..........just better than before!

Any recommendations for a good cleanser though?

mummyplonk · 15/11/2006 18:57

Hi Koshka1984, with 2 babies under 18 months have very little time for sprucing myself up but was recommended tinted moisturiser as you mentioned. It's fab! not going back to foundation now but may have to put powder over the top on particularly bad days. After trying a few one by "Bobbi Brown" is fantastic, it kills two birds with one stone and rubs in really easily. Quite tough to find tho!

Koshka1984 · 15/11/2006 18:57

i got a free sample from lancome when i bought a juicy tubes its good its a foaming wash

Ask for a facial for your christmas present. One hour and £40ish pounds. You will never look back

Tinted moisturiser is much better than foundation.

chonky · 15/11/2006 19:02

Laura Mercier foundation is fantastic. I was converted recently (having never really worn foundation before), it's definitely worth the price IMO.

lorina · 15/11/2006 19:04

reveir what kind of cleanser do you prefer ?

Elemis sensitive skin wash is fab if you like washing your face.

If you prefer something creamy then liz earle is pretty good.

Whatever cleanser you use I think its always worth using a muslin cloth or a flannel, it does upgrade the whole treatment, its much better than cotton wool.

reiver · 15/11/2006 19:26

I've been using the Dr Hauschka range, using their cleansers with a muslin which I agree seems to be more thorough. Quite like the idea that it is more natural too, not packed full of chemicals.

Supply running low though so I need to decide whether to order more or I was just wondering if there was anything better to try? Sorry for thread hijack Koshka!

Piles cream makes dark circles under your eyes go away according to my friend who's a make up artist. Sounds too gross to try imo

Bobbi Brown products must work because she's a mummy with 3 kids so she must know

mummyplonk · 15/11/2006 19:39

normalness I heard that once that Supermodels use Piles cream regularly under there eyes when they have had a hard night as it tightens the skin, eeuuughhhxx!

Hi

Sorry, I haven't read all the thread so apologies if this has already been suggested.

I quite like Estee Lauder's Individualist foundation, if you go to the counter and ask for a sample the wee bottle they give you will last for well over a week! Likewise with the Chanel samples. I also like the vitalumiare one but for me it was too greasy on my skin (and I have dry skin).
