I'm thinking of buying my first ever pair of shorts

The question is should I?
Will I be able to wear them?

I am 5ft4. Size 14/12.

Are there any types I should be looking at?

I've just ordered some from gap (the boyfriend ones) which look promising. A lot of the shorts I've seen are tiny and I want something a bit more substantial.

The Boden Bistro shorts get a lot of love on Mumsnet. I've never tried them but I do really like the Bistro trousers.

Ive just ordered these which I have high hopes for. I need a little bit of an A line to my shorts!
