So I have seriously chubby hands. My wedding band and engagment ring have thin bands. I am having some jewellery made and I chose a thicker band. Jeweller has just dropped a silver band around for me to wear in the thickness and width I had specified to check I like it before we forge ahead with gold

But my first thoughts are .. my fingers are too fat for this style. My finger has a muffin top fgs! Grin but I have always been over critical of my chunky digits and may be over reacting.. my nails are currently very short and not the longer shellac'd version that helps them look better.

So. Am I too fat for a band this thick? I'll be wearing this ring a lot so I want to be sure.

X post - I like it and it be easy to make from D wire which would not squish your finger in the same way.

I think I know what you mean Jessie! Although I'm starting to think the design I chose (when it's done in gold, it'll be hammered effect like this one, with a diamond I'm reusing and a little gold heart next to it) isn't going to work. My diamond is too big for the proportions. *not a stealth boast at all. The diamond in question isn't big.. but wouldn't look right.. it needs to be diddier I think.

I think I should just rethink the whole thing?!

I actually hate the feeling I'd jewellery. My rings have to be light as a feather else they make my fingers feel weird. The eternity ring you see is a dream to wear. There's nothing to it! I actually regret my wedding band choice as even that is too heavy at times for me and it's actually not heavy at all in anyone else's terms ..

Of not I'd

Also it's unfortunate cos I bloody love sparkly stuff.

Well you can't be blamed for loving a bit of sparkly stuff!! Here's a pic of a plain D wire ring - it's really light feeling because it's hardly touching your skin iyswim.
