I love lipstick, love it. It's my favourite make upy thing mostly because it looks like you've put in far more effort than you actually have.

So I want to know:

What's your current favourite lipstick/What lipstick do you wear the most at the moment?

What is your favourite lipstick of all time?

What do you want to try next?

Adding your colouring would be helpful :)

So, at the moment I'm obsessed with Tom Ford True Coral which looks far pinker on me then it does on her.

My favourite of all time is Nars Dragon Girl

Next on my list is Ruby Woo which shockingly I've never tried.

I'm a Winter - clear and cool & clear and deep.

Urban decay are pretty (in)famous for their risqué names

Obsessed with reckon lip butter in lollipop (bright pink) and Estée lauder pure envy in rebellious rose. My all time favourite is Mac viva glam II - a matte dark burgundy red

My favourites are

Daytime - Dior Rouge Dior in Charnelle
Evening - YSL rouge mat in 203

Mrs Tattoo I do follow on Instagram and FB. The other Sunday I had to drive across country to pick up my mum's new puppy so missed my shades coming back into stock. Didn't know about the eye shadows. Can't wait!

I love Tom Ford lipstick too. My favourite ever lipstick is either Indian Rose or Pink Dusk (I recently lost it and can't remember the shade). I loved it - so creamy and rich and really well pigmented. Will need to get another one Sad

Ellis faas 401 - perfect tomato red. Lovely finish, doesn't need a lip liner, honest (and I am late 40s). I'm pretty pale and more ivory than pink or yellow - no 7 calico is too beige but illamasqua no 2 is a bit too pale for me. Grey-blue eyes, dark brown hair. Natural lip colour is very red/dark and red is the only non-sheer that doesn't look slightly odd/ face painty.

For work in summer, loved a very old Estée lauder called crystal sun, discontinued. Been looking for a replacement for weeks now, everything is too pinky/orange/opaque.

Sadly, I seem to favour expensive lipsticks, which means that I don't have that many!!

I'm pretty sure I only suit blue toned lipsticks. Russian red looks nice on, but I only rarely wore it as it's very in your face - I've started wearing it more now I've figured out how to tone it down.

Dior did an amazing plum colour which they have sadly discontinued. It's without doubt my number one favourite. Clinique chubby stick in voluptuous violet is amazing, but the formula is a bit too much like a balm for the colour to really last (but it's SO easy to re apply so...)

I'd like to try a very blue based pink, a darker blue based red, and another plum sort of colour. MAC rebel and MAC lickable are both high on the list, though rebel often seems really dark purple on some people which is a bit Confused

It also took me a long time though to realise that I really dislike lipstick being worn as a solid block (especially as I like very strong colours) - as in - pick up tube, and put lipstick directly over all of lips. But I really love wearing them by dotting the colour onto the middle of the lips and then patting out, so it diffuses the colour a little and just looks....way more natural. It's also way easier as it's much less noticeable when it starts to wear off throughout the day.

Mac Asian Flower

I am very pale and freckled, blue eyes and dark hair now almost entirely grey!

Favourite current: Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry pie
Favourite all-time; Nars satin lipstick in Niagara
Wish list; Nars Audacious in Audrey (can't justify it this month!)

NoStannis I really struggle with Ruby Woo. I love the colour but the lipstick is so matt and dry that it's hard to use. I find applying it, even with a lip brush, a chore as it take forever. I'm considering going back to MAC and ask them for some tips.

Leaf autumn here, light (henna'ed red to cover the grey) brown hair, medium skin, hazel green eyes
Favourite going out lipstick is Mac: Chilli
Daytime lipstick. Mac Mocha or Pander Me.
